Hello, and thank you so much for visiting! I’m Ammie, the woman behind Ammie Jean Photography.
I’m happily married to my best friend, Eric, and together we cherish this life we’ve built. We share our home with three fur babies—an older cat named Ziggy, a chihuahua named Isla, and a younger cat named Wesley. We also enjoy fostering dogs whenever we can. Some of our favorite things include little adventures, time spent on our deck or out on the boat, and simple day dates together. I’m incredibly grateful for Eric—my biggest supporter and number-one fan. Without him and my amazing clients, I wouldn’t be able to pursue what I love so deeply.
In early 2024, my sister and her husband welcomed their first child—the sweetest little boy! Eric and I absolutely adore auntie and uncle life and treasure every moment with our nephew. Family—and friends who feel like family—mean everything to me, which is why I truly understand the importance of preserving yours.
I’m a lover of thrifting and collecting vintage treasures, especially pieces with a story to tell. I go all in when it comes to holiday decorating (sometimes a little overboard!), and I never turn down a long phone call with my sister, cousin, or Grandma. And at the end of the day, there’s nothing better than curling up on the couch with Eric and our furry crew.

I offer a variety of lifestyle photography sessions and pour so much love and intention into my work to ensure my clients have an incredible experience and receive high-quality, meaningful images. As a detail-oriented person, I carefully edit each image while maintaining a natural, true-to-life look. I provide prep and style guides for every session and am always just an email away to answer questions or offer guidance.
My posing approach varies depending on the session, but I focus on capturing playful, connected moments that turn into lasting memories. I value real interactions over stiff perfection and love when my galleries feel like they’re telling a story. Personality over perfection—every time. My style is natural, colorful, and candid, and it continues to evolve as I grow creatively.
I offer outdoor sessions at beautiful locations around DeForest and Madison, as well as indoor newborn and sitter sessions in my home studio in DeForest. At this time, I do not offer extended family, wedding, or event photography.
