Derek | Newborn | Six Days

There is no possible way to contain the abundance of cuteness that is Derek. Proud to day that this handsome baby boy is my cousins' baby boy and we're so happy to have him in the family! I loved this session for many reasons. One being that I was able to snuggle this cutie and another that I could let my creativity take over! My cousin had brought a few items from home (that she had mentioned prior to D's session) and I had planned on incorporating them into his portraits. They were fantastic inspiration! I absolutely admire sentimental items and enjoy working them into photos! The tractors, stuffed cow/elephant, crocheted pumpkin hat and hungry caterpillar sac/hat were all items that were brought from home. The crochet items were a gift to Derek so we really wanted to use those precious pieces!

We were so blessed with a very content and sleepy baby along with a very sweet and smiley big sister! We had not planned on sibling shots but when you have a happy toddler that coordinates with your set up and super sleepy newborn, how can you pass up the opportunity?  Simply put - you don't!
